Second this question. I was thinking about getting this pack or the new vanquest falconer pack

Wish the vanquest had more molle, and wish the litespeed had velcro lined interior. Or at least a velcro control panel.

Also I was wondering how this fits on a taller person

I'm 6 1" and it fits fine. Also seen reviews from people taller and it hasn't been an issue. Some people prefer the older straps I like these.

How are you liking it so far? I use a MOAB 6 for EDC and just incorporated a gym routine which increased how much I EDC with me. I was thinking of either getting the Rush 12 and then integrating my current bag with the MOAB system or getting an Osprey that will integrate as a day pack on my backpacking setup with the Osprey Addon system. I have an Osprey Aether 70. For my current day-hike setup I've just been throwing a cheap Wal-Mart bladder carrier and a small fanny pack in my Aether.

What made you switch from 5.11, you were such a huge fan.

I still love 5.11 and my Rush 12s (yes, plural). The impetus for the change was our company switched from 24 hr shifts to 12 hr shifts. Now working 12 hour days I felt like I didn't need all the stuff I had loaded out in the R12. And now that we don't really have stations anymore my bag is always stashed behind my seat in the truck. It got annoying have to grab and maneuver a heavy :censored: bag behind me to try to get something out. I wanted something quite a bit lighter and with more grab options. So I drastically slimmed down my carry and switched to the Osprey which is lighter and has a grab handle on the front as well as the top. So far I'm happy with the switch

Its pretty light and comfy pack, great for long walks! Just the green lining doesn't work for me...

Thank you! So far I'm really enjoying it. The light weight makes it a joy to grab throughout the day, the water bottle pockets allow me to have an extra hand free when loading/unloading the truck, and the organizational setup has been working well for me. Good start :)

It actually doesn't bother me. Helps me see inside the bag a lot easier than a typical black bag

Nice Modification on this sir Stockwellington, been thinking on getting the MOAB10 at first, but was discouraged because of how you carry it. Would it be Ok for you sir to post detailed pics on the modifications you made? It would mean a lot to me, Thanks ! :)

*Edit* I'm sorry about this, found the thread about the modification while I was browsing. Thank You sir for posting. :)

I really don't think this is a big of a "thing" as most people think. Most pay no attention to what kind of backpacks others are carting around let alone know what tactical even means or looks like.

Must be a personal thing then because when I see a guy with a tactical bag with molly webbing and patches all over it it stands out to me, just a preference.

Perhaps. I think a very small percentage of folks, such as military and EDCers notice. The everyday "layperson" isn't going to take note.

Are you saying you think this NF bag looks Tactical to you?
