Anyone have one of these?? I really liked it, and it doesn't have any molle on it. :)
Only $79.95, 1500 cubic inches, but can expand to 2000 cubic inches with a zipper that runs along the back seam. Well made, I didn't even see the zipper to start with, once I read the little card I looked for it.

Some info I stole from the REI website:

-Largely made from 100% recycled PET polyester fabric, each pack keeps 33 16-oz. plastic bottles out of landfills!
Sourced from old plastic bottles, post-consumer recycled PET polyester is tough enough to endure the daily grind and is gentle on the environment
-Internal compression panel helps control the load and has zippered mesh pockets to keep clothes folded nicely and contents organized
-Front stash pocket with top and side access is gusseted and provides dedicated storage for pens, pencils, cards, electronics and keys
-Vertical zippered pocket offers convenient storage for small essentials; swing the bag to your front on your right shoulder for on-body access
-Top zippered pocket pads your camera and sunglasses
-Water bottle side pocket keeps a beverage within reach; zippered side pocket secures must-have items close by
-Ergonomic S-curved shoulder straps utilize dual-density foam for comfort and support; top handle lets you haul the bag at your side

I liked the internal mesh pocket/storage pocket. That was cool also.
The reason I didn't buy it- I have an Eagle Industries Crossover Pack on the way, so I decided to wait. But it is calling me, I am pretty sure I could use a "low profile-no molle-shepple friendly" pack. :)

Some days it is hard being a pack :censored:. Time to sell some packs.

In my area, I am starting to see a LOT more people carrying REI packs. I will try to check this one out this weekend.

    True.
I have been using a Nalgene bottle for 4-5 years now, so I haven't been contributing plastic bottles to the landfills. :)
I don't know why I like it so much; they have alot of packs at REI, and I always check them out, but this one was different.

    Quick pic:

I think it is the clean lines, makes it look small and well contained. I wish I had a pic of the inside.

Don't go to REI and look at it, you'll really like it then. The pockets and internal mesh divider are set up just right. I might have to pick one up on my next trip to REI.
    We'll see.

    Maybe we need a group/company/business purchase. ???
REI does deals for companies, maybe they would do an EDCForums special.

    Re: REI - Urban Traveler

My only concern would be load stability on the zipper for the main pouch. Since there are no load balancing straps, most of the stress would be on the zipper. If properly loaded/balanced, I don't think it would matter that much, looks like they used a good zipper. Just a small concern.

Looks like a good clean bag with a fair amount of thought in the organization. I like the water slip on one side and the small zipperd pocket onthe opposite.

    Re: REI - Urban Traveler

A internal pic would help. The mesh panel in the main pocket would help control any big load. If I happen to get one(and I probably will) then I'll snap some internal pics.

    Re: REI - Urban Traveler

I have had a few REI packs over the years and they are all very well built and easy to use. They are usual on the front line of trends and innovations.

I agree with Cryptic, they have so many things that I want I usual come home with something when I go there.

Well they didn't have the "loam" in stock, so I bought black. Pics to follow sometime. :)

Very cool bag, I saw that yesterday at REI. I happen to like the black a lot more than the brown. (Maybe if the brown was not solid, but more of a 2-tone style like a Timbuk2) Hope that works out for ya. :luck:

Yeah I just clicked on a pic, but it really didn't get much bigger. I'll see what I can do.
