Good idea, Paul! Demand begets supply? I mean, what part of our offer to buy the Tapmatic was unclear? Mini perforated ti-baby, with clip.
I want to drill a hole in my S30V prybaby, to fill it with glowpowder/epoxy. Will this be a pain with normal tools? Marthijn
Heat treated S30V will be SIGNIFICANTLY harder to drill than a key. You'll need a cobalt drill bit and a SLOW drill. If you got too fast and overheat, it can actually harden the area you are trying to drill. You need to be careful, as the bits are brittle. Clamp your material to be drilled down very tight. WEAR EYE PROTECTION! You MIGHT get a hole or two from a new Ti coated bit, but don't expect much. Holes are typically drilled in the steel before the heat treat, in the annealed state. todd
Ouch, I was afraid I would get an answer like this. But loud and clear, it is a bad plan. Shame I would have liked it but I don't see much use for it to be honest. Marthijn
I just figure if we show Peter some prybaby carnage...some that have unwillingly died before their time, by our blunt hands...that maybe he will spring into action...Because after all, we know all he's doing is staring at the trees waiting for the leaves to change(all he makes are prybabies right? lol). :juggle: :whip:
:lolhammer: I bet a Marmo Dashi could make us a perforated Prybaby with its bare teeth... :knuppel2: The P.B. with a clip would be one Atwood item that, as much as I wish I could, I would not be able to resist.
It's still not clear when I will get to these. Too many distractions right now! But I'm hopeful that I will get to them at some point once I work out a few details such as the fasteners for the clips. Not going to tap anything if I can help it. :green:
I would really like one without a clip. Any thoughts on doing a mini? You are the man Peter! :notworthy:
Well I think Chuck Norris was talking about wanting a regular perforated prybaby with a clip...Laughed about the mini's said he was man enough for the full size... :lolhammer: :-X
