I've had a steel Jotter for probably twenty years now. I don't write much these days, but I did have a wonderful discovery recently: they're capacitive! Flip your Jotter over and you can use the click top as a stylus on your smart phone, tablet, or other capacitive surfaces. Pretty slick.

How do you like the gel refills? I've been thinking about trying them out.

My mother has a solid silver jotter. I have 3 steel ones in my work bag and one permanently in my pocket (or my hand).

If Parker ever do the decent thing and issue solid titanium jotters then I'm going to go bankrupt. I will buy a couple of dozen to last the rest of my life.

It's not that they'd wear out, it's just that occasionally - once every 3-4 years - I lose one. Not because I loaned it to someone either; people have tremendous respect for a stainless steel jotter, they acknowledge that it's a proper pen and return it without asking (although they're cheap enough that the occasional loss wouldn't be a disaster).

I love them. Very easy to write , they glide over the paper. I wont go back to rollerball.

I have had plenty over the years never regret getting one. But always feel the loss when I dont have it, mostly lost or stolen I work with lots of people (nurses and Drs) they dont steel them on purpose they just borrow use or whatever and just dont return them or leave them some where. i have had a few engraved and they lasted the longest. I go through phases of making sure I have one, then I loose it (the pen)use a bic for awhile then buy another start the process all over again. I can only use black refills and i prefer fine tips. Great pen well worth the price, light and sturdy.

You mean you got your Jotter to write on plastic? You must be using a Fischer refill in it. Don't tell rsitter! :giggle:

I have the SS pen and pencil, the matt black cap actuated but they live in my Maxped pouch (with me all day every day). What lives in my pocket, with the waterproof Field Notes is my Parker Jotter in Olive with Quinkflow refil.

The pouch may not come EVERYwhere, but the rest does.

Took me forever to find a pen that writes well and fits in my flight suit arm pocket, but I finally found the Parker Jotter with gel refill and the Parker Jotter mechanical pencil. Best $15 I've spent in a while.
