Hey everybody just wondering if anybody can suggest good type of Paint for a front sight trying to paint the white dot A bright teal color any suggestions would help
If you look on Amazon and or EBay, they have some glow in the dark paints just for front sights. But I recently bought some Blaze Orange nail polish at Walmart and prefer it. Catches the eye better... in any decent light. Poor in the dark though.
Nail polish on all my sights here for years. You can find glow in the dark nail polish but frankly sitting in a holster it never charges. I even got some glow power and tried to "supercharge" some already glow nail polish and it still didn't really work well. I'd suggest not even bothering. You want glowing sights just get some tritium and don't waste time or money.
FWIW, one trick I’ve read (but haven’t yet tried) to ‘brighten’ a colored nail polish is to paint the first layer in white - makes a lot of sense to me.
Testers makes some flourescent model paints that work well. Think of the little jars that mist kids had for painting models. I have used a bright green and orange with no issues and would suggest using a small toothpic dipped in paint instead of a brush. Dip and touch to sight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
