I ended up on a WAVE Facebook post for carrying my EDC
What does "WAVE" mean? (besides the best multitool ever)
The Leatherman wave has it's own Facebook page.
Ohhhh. Well now I feel dumb.
Don't be, I had to Bing it to find that out.
Wisconsin anti violence effort
As if my faith in humanity couldn't get any lower...
According to Acronym Finder.com, there are 25 active and 67 less common ones for WAVE.

Theft of copyrighted material. Lol means I'm doing a good job. I'm not in the picture but I did carry a knife too.
If I saw 2 people walking around my neighborhood like these 2 I would be concerned too, there are a lot of unstable types out there.
Really? Because I'd feel better if the whole neighborhood was filled with people who were openly armed.
I'd be more worried about 2 people than the whole neighborhood. The whole neighborhood would make me feel a lot safer with those two around
Oh, totally with you guys on that.
My only point is that there was a time when people with tools- of whatever type- would not be a concern to other people and we've now coe to a place where people are afraid of their own shadows and we are all considered by each other to be boogiemen. We have lost so much faith in each other to do the right thing... we are so suspicious of each other... that we have lost our way as a culture.
Perhaps our souls as well.
1500 plus post of ridiculous stories of overreactions.
Makes me melancholy is all.
It is sad, I know.
Have to agree with SAKp on this, 2 men like this you wonder whats up but everyone carrying no worries.
Depending on the environment I prefer the concept of concealed carry over open carry. Just my opinion and I have nothing against anyone who practices different or feels otherwise. Suburban neighborhoods and highly populated urban environments are more concealed carry appropriate where rural areas and smaller populations would be more open carry friendly. Basically seeing a person walk around with a visible firearm in an urban/suburban environment makes people way more nervous and can create a tension that doesn't have to be there. Where in your smaller population more rural areas people see guns more often and don't see them as something scary.
Edit: at the moment I don't carry concealed or otherwise. I do plan on obtaining a CHL in the near future.
^ I wasn't advocating the open carry of rifles, I was just pointing out the illogical disconnect in people's thinking when it comes to the perceived danger of any given tool. Statistically speaking, my kids are in far more danger from my neighbors legally owned car or pool than his firearm, but the firearm is what causes the fear. It is utterly and truly irrational.
Same thing with knives. In all the assaults made with knives, what percentage is with modern 3" folder and what percentage is with a generic kitchen knife? But, Heaven forbid one of us break down cardboard boxes with our Spydie or Benchmade in eyeshot of a nosy neighbor. Panicked 911 calls.
We are clearly at the point where the majority of us fear the inanimate object rather than the evil that potentially wields it and that is a problem for all of us because that concept doesn't match the true reality of the world.
freedom is what's up. And it wasn't 2. There was 3. ;-)
