Thinking I might try out an S&W 442 for pocket carry. How do you guy's like your J-frames?
Sticky® holster. Square bottom keeps J-frame upright in pocket. Also very comfortable for AIWB.

Took it right out of my pocket and snapped this picture.
637-2 with a bobbed hammer and lock removed. Loaded with 135gr +p Gold Dots.
Just about the easiest, most reliable gun to slip in your pockets. I carry it everywhere I go in the summer (as long as it's legal to do so). If I don't carry it in my pocket, I have a Desantis Clip-Grip attached to it.

Had one to shot in the family growing up, want one for myself now.
Dorian how do you like that LCR? I hadn't realized that they made them in 9mm... I'm feeling tempted.
Well I don't Edc it . But a model 60 357 is allways close at hand . Also keep a 640 around for a house gun . They are really hard to beat , but I grew up around them . I have never had a problem with a j frame , they won't let you down .
It's still to new for a final verdict yet.
So far very nice, I'm liking it a lot, I really enjoy 9mm with this, it seems to be cleaner to run as well.
Also much cheaper than trying to replace one of my 940's.
I bought an LCR 38spl. for pocket carry several years ago.
While the trigger was great and the gun was completely reliable, the enormous grip made pocket carry next to impossible for me. Boot grips were next to impossible to find for them back then so I sold it. I think there are more grip options out there that make pocket carry easier for the LCR, but it's too late. I'm happy with my J-Frame.
My dad's 442 has a better trigger than my LCR-357, but the front blade sight on the Smith is just too hard to see IMO. Ruger updated their front sight to be a high-vis white blade, but I still swapped mine out (very easy since it's a pinned sight) for an XS Standard Dot tritium sight. They're both great guns; I think you'll win either way.
Never heard of 'em.
I carry a 442 in either a blackhawk or desantis nemesis. I think the nemesis is a little harder to pocket carry, but it's new and not broken in yet.
I love the 442. Very accurate for such a small gun with nearly invisible sights. Painting the front sight post helps.

I carry a d frame. Same concept with one extra rooms.
Stupid stupid auto correct. One extra ROUND.
I got a Taurus 651 357 and an LCR 9 mm. Either carry easy in the pocket,on the belt,or ankle. Also in the case of the LCR a kydex rig on a neck lanyard and it disappears under my shirt.
S&W Model 340PD SC
11 ounces empty
Fired a total of 5 times.
I use my all stainless Model 640 for training and actual shooting
The 340 is strictly for carrying
In a late-60s Chic Gaylord upside-down shoulder holster, I sometimes forget that I am carrying it!
Great gun and rig for vehicle seated carry during protection or stakeout detail.
Summer carry in a bellyband is a dream.
Dress trouser carry in a Mitch Rosen Pocket Softy is superb.
Sometimes I use the Barami Hip Grip and Tyler T Grip for when I just wanna carry it Mexican Style.
Sometimes I just drop it in my front pocket of my chinos behind a hanky.
Sometimes it just sits in the front flap pocket of my bomber jacket.
That's a nice collection of not J-frames.
over the years, I had several pocket revolvers... SP101, SW640, Charter 44, and SW442... I still have the 442 and the Charter, though they don't get much use... I compete with a Glock, and don't want to switch platforms... the 442 was easy shooting and accurate with Federal 125 NyClads...
with the Fobus paddle, makes an ultra light slip on rig... the blue kydex body shield is held with Velcro ... usually Bianchi speed strip and not speed loader
I've carried one nearly everyday since 2004. I use a Galco ankle rig
I also have carried one mainly as a backup weapon for years. I have two 640's and a Jframe 357. If I'm wearing lite clothes it goes as the primary arm.
