Well, thanks to @hartlogan , I have a Mammoth Ivory Barlow in route! Can't wait! Pictures cropped from the seller: Barlow 2 by mrbleh, on Flickr Barlow 1 by mrbleh, on Flickr Barlow 3 by mrbleh, on Flickr
I'm glad it's going to a new home. The gold in that mammoth really catches the light, I can't wait to see you put it to work and show it off I did manage to squeeze in a family picture before it got adopted by you...
I've really enjoyed my visits to Northwoods, but there is a store in Kirkland, Wa that has an incredible inventory you can see their stuff at bladegallery.com.
I am currently fighting the inevitable fact that I will own one. Looking long and hard at the Burnside Jack. Show me what you got.
None yet but I'm eyeing a small stockman, Indian river jack, or the illusive Fremont. I would love to see what others have and maybe some size comparisons.
Just the one...as yet...Presidential Blue Camel Bone. Fremont on the list too. Basic EDC | On Person Carry | Skinth Loadouts | Backpack | Bail Out Bag
Japp, 3 times "dipped" in mustard for about half an hour each, and using it as a food prep knife in the kitchen for two weeks afterwards.
It's here and it's glorious! I love the handmade look of these. Indian River Jack is the kind of knife an descendent might find in a drawer, and if the blade is not sharpened away too much, put to good use again.
The drop point barlow is my go-to picnic knife. Great for slicing and spreading (and earning a patina).
That Fremont is beautiful! I'm really growing to like wharnclife blades for their great utility and ease of sharpening.
That Freemont is a trick. I believe there were only three or four of them ever made, and snatched up by lucky members of this forum. Are they ever going to be back in stock? Sheesh.
