I’m looking for a lightweight daypack that from the outside looks clean and non tactical but should have place inside for pistol magazines flashlight etc. Not just a big bag where I can’t access gear quickly. Preferably around 20 liter and made of that tough lightweight nylon fabric. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Check the Alpha One Niner forum here. I think the subject is something like “Evade 2.0” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There is a thread about the wish list for the Evade 2.0: https://www.edcforums.com/threads/alpha-one-niner-evade-2-0-wish-list.138709/ And there is a thread about the pre-order/final specifications: https://www.edcforums.com/threads/update-on-evade-2-0-and-start-of-the-wait-list.139807/
Looks like a nice pack. A little bit expensive, especially if you take into account the added hook & loop pouches. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tactical Kelty Redwing line has hook and loop inside. Clean outside Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
Also I don't own one and have no need for pistol/magazine the Vertx EDC Ready Bag may be worth to consider. Has good reviews and is a smaller (and cheaper IIRC) than the Garmut.
And the winner is..... You can’t beat this for under $40! 3v gear SUBROSA URBAN ASSAULT PACK. It’s perfect for my needs, despite the name, not tactical looking on the outside but has plenty of pockets for all my gear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In conclusion: I realize looking for this pack that most designers give the majority of space in their packs to clothes and other gear and relatively small amounts to EDC stuff. Us EDCers tend to carry a lot of gear that needs a safe place where it’s easy to locate not just thrown in the bottom of the bag. We need a bag that’s the other way round. Small compartments and webbing to store our flashlights, phone chargers, pistol magazines, knives etc. Whilst looking for a pack I came across the CamelBak Coronado Daypack, which if it wasn’t for the molle webbing on the outside is a perfect match for me. A good example of what I’m talking about is the first aid kits made in Australia by Survival Emergency Solutions. I have one of their small kits and the thought that’s gone into the design is truly miraculous! A place for everything and everything marked. Make me a daypack like that and I’d be happy!! Of course that’s only the opinion of a dedicated EDCer! Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Update: lucky I held off on a purchase. Saw the new 5.11 Tactical LV18 shown at Shot Show and it looks perfect for me. I am having problems finding reviews so if anyone has purchased this I’d appreciate a quick review. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Received this pack and initial impression is positive. Feels and looks like a quality back pack with plenty of tactical options. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
