Just finished sharpening my work knives... I love sharp blades On a side note I kinda wish I could combine all of these into my ultimate knife... Of course then I wouldn't want any new ones, and that wouldn't be any fun
I agree its very important to carry some form of fire making on you. Except I went away from the zippo and went to a peanut lighter, since the zippo is such high maintenence
I have a peanut lighter and I carried it for a while. I thought it was the ultimate solution to my lighter problems (Zippo is high maintenance, butane is unreliable especially in the cold, etc). I began to notice, however, that it always seemed to have problems (it would unscrew itself and nearly got lost, it had zero wind resistance, it didn't create much heat and therefore was bad at certain tasks). I have taken the high maintenance of Zippo in stride as it is the only reliable lighter I have ever owned. Edit: I would like to try a Douglas field lighter.
Yep, sure did. You can see some more pics of it here Building the Adam Savage LM holster. I formed it by heating sections with my camp stove and molding by hand with insulated gloves. It was reasonably easy to make and I absolutely love it. I was a little afraid that it would snag and break, but it has been through everything I can throw at it with no problem. If you have any questions about it, let me know.
Since everyone seems to like the house so much, I'll try and bring my camera up this week and get some better pics of it. Until then, enjoy this spyder hanging out in the beams...
Working on my countertop tonight... It has proven to be quite the project. My beautifully sharp No. 4 plane has been a huge help
Sharpening day! I think it's safe to say I don't have aichmophobia (fear of sharp things), which would be a terrible thing to have.
