sure, we've heard that before...
...but THIS time is sure, i don't like aluminium's plane scales.
Scored another alox today, btw.
...and thanks to Joost Heijnen, new page, so you have to suffer another random alox's pic.
Keep your chin up mate
Thanks for your words, bro.
Farmer bicolor "Edelweiss".
Love that purple side.
as always i haven't been able to capture the real color shade of alox, but have to say that in this case the color's set is really stunning.
They call it "lila", here in Italy we would have said it "vinaccia" (the residual part of red grapes when doing wine).
Hope a great day for you.
So, ain't able to shake the bucket for the 101th alox.
Anybody won't our cash for a Pink Solo ?
I read the new rules of EDCF.
Now i probably will change my thread's title in "YP&Nick's Alox".
Just to stay among the rules... posting only Alox and related as i'm doing lately i will not derail from the thread's topic.
Crashed my poor cash piggybank and went for a Mecarmy PT16.
The usual three-four weeks to see it.
1000 lumens (if really) are not that usual in a single 16340 pocket flashlight.
Pocket-Rocket ? Will check it.
Two more alox LE are joining the crew soon.
Being two Farmers, now the little family grows to 25 different ones...
...and the grand total to 102.
Edit: forgot to say, this is due as always to the head-up of a great guy i'm pleased and honored to may call friend.
Woah... a new post after centuries.
YP (my son for not "frequent thread flyers") have had this week his personal keys provided.
That's an event in our world's corner, where everything has to get closed and jailed if you will not want everything... damaged or robbered.
So, coming back to EDC-related talks, he needs his first key-ring and... something added on, otherwise i'm not his dad.
This is my first proposal submitted to him: a simple braided leather string with knotted ended.
I fixed the knots all around with superglue. A bit hardened but rock solid.
Now a good ss split ring for the four keys, a crimped metal collar to trap them to a loop in the cord... and some add-ons i won't discover for now.
Waiting your comments !.
Compared with my car keys.
YP has great dad. Nice leather work Nick!
What is that something like a tusk of the lion, by the way?
Hi Nekolf, thanks for your always kind words.
The object you said is an Italian lucky charm that is traditionally produced with red coral, but since I broke the previous one a friend redid one for me of the same size but made of surgical steel. So it will never break and bring bad luck !
It has been always together with the keys of my cars for over 30 years.
Have a nice day.
Ah, I see. Over 30 years are great and it looks very nice. I have to try to find one for myself.
Have a nice week end!
Victorinox is going to release the Pioneer X 0.8231.26, the first 93mm alox with scissors.
Last alox in.
A not perfect (scratches and scrapes on the handles... arrgghh) Solo i could not however lose because of the rarity of this edition.
The blade had been severely abused, so i convexed, brushed and reground it to avoid losing too much part of the blade itself.
Not the best item we have in collection, but now we have one of those at least...
Thanks for the heads up Nick, I have to buy an orange one!
The no.103 alox is starting his journey to reach the other fellas, here in Italy.
Yes, another great friend knocked at my door again giving me this possibility. Thanks brother.
And no, this more one will not be a Pioneer X, waiting at the moment for a price lowered more than a bit, i'm not in hurry to have that regular one.
The one coming - on the contrary - is not that common...
