Thanks for all the recommendations. Price wise, sub 200 would be nice.
391st ENG BATT, Rockhill SC. Just got out, spent some time at Schofield, although that was with my Dad when he was stationed there, I got to go through part of the Pathfinder school with my ROTC, pretty much set me up for going in when I graduated. (6 years).
I would say a Griptillian or Mini. Good blade, easy to manipulate, easy to replace if lost and you can get her a custom one on the site well within your price range.
My wife has a pink Ritter Mini RSK (Benchmade mini-Griptillian variant).
Maybe a nice pink Case slipjoint?
Cute li'l Baby Butterbean:
or full sized Trapper:
if "cute" is the keyword, the first knife that comes into my mind is the Spyderco Pingo, with the budget, there is space for a pair of custom pink scales too
i would say a mini grip, delica, dragonfly 2, or a vic cadet, or soldier or pioneer
my wife carries either a sog twitch 2, or a spyderco smallfly, or my benchmade 32, and sometimes my benchmade 940
She can use the blade for knifelike tasks, and use the scissors and nailfile for girly chores. It's also cute, and tiny enough that she can't object to carrying it due excessive size. Also, it comes in multiple colors.
I almost forgot, that's how convenient it is. Boker Nano. A whole lot of cutting power in a "cute" knife. Thanks for your service.
Oh and mine carries an M.O.D. Pointman, Mine I might add. She's not the girly girl. But her Glock slide is Purple.
My wife carries a small CRK Sebenza when she's not at work. Her work knife is a Spyderco Harpy.
I took my girlfriend to a knife store and she picked a BM 530. She likes how slim and light it is. If I bought her a pink knife she'd probably stab me with it. Here is her pocket (purse) dump.
Mini Griptilian - a great little knife. They offer all kinds of "cute" colors as well
A Spyderco Dragonfly 2 with the dragonfly etching. Beautiful, functional, and sized just right.
Personally I can't recommend anything pink. It's too stereotypical and makes me want to yak.
FWIW, my wife likes black, not pink, but the upside of a color like pink is allows you to disguise a real knife and make it more socially acceptable.
Cold Steel mini AK-47?
I think a Benchmade Mini Grip is in order! She has already "customized" one off their site. Thanks fellas for all the input. Will post her thoughts of it in a week or so. Maybe get some good info from the other side.
Let us know which one she got. Just curious........ I think the suspense will kill us!
I gave my wife a Juice S2 and put a SAK Classic Mini on her keychain. She uses them daily, and lately, she's been eyeing my Fellhoelter frikky...
Save your money and buy her something she'll actually use like a Victorinox Classic or a Wenger esquire w/ nail clipper, rather than a spydie or BM that you think she will love and cherish... Trust me!! Been there - done that. Women Do not think like us men do.... They think "I need to cut something - give me a knife (any knife)" verses men who say "I cannot cut anything without my spydie paramilitary in S30v with the lightsaber attachment in g10"
Do they make folding kitchen knives?
