I'd love to get my hands on one of these. Most of the things I didn't like on the original seem to be fixed on this new version. My only issue is; how the hell do I get my hands on one? I'm not paying astronomical prices on eBay and TAD is constantly "out of stock". Why does TAD purposely make their gear hard to get? The way they handle their inventory is such a turn off for me. They will tell you they are a small company with limited resources - which I'm sure is true. That their inventory issues create a "demand" that they cant keep up with is probably not lost on them either. I've never been able to decide if they are marketing geniuses or just oblivious to the extra money they leave on the table which is picked up by eBay. They make quality products and provide even better customer service. I had one of the new Litespeeds and ended up sending it back. I'm not a fan of the new shoulder straps. A lot of people are loving the new pack though so it might just be me.

You could just go straight to the shop in San Francisco! The new bag does look nice, though the older one fits my torso perfectly, and the contoured straps are awesome
they probably do it at other times as well. im just one of those nerds who watches the tad site like a hawk on fridays at noon.
You said you want a new one but your other option is to always check other forum sites for them, like I have said before I got my EDC and litespeed there for far less than flea bay or straight from TAD. Also TAD does offer 15% off their products through the force program (maybe that's the name I'm not 100%).
