The E1B Backup: http://www.surefire.com/maxexp/main/co_disp/displ/prrfnbr/24511/sesent/00 Interesting looking light. I'm excited to see what else SureFire has in store at SHOT 08.
Looks pretty cool, and so small! I wonder why Surefire isn't making as much noise about using the Cree LEDs (as compared to everyone else who uses them). I wonder if Surefire will ever make lights using more common cells (AAA and AA, specifically). That'd be awesome! :roof:
I wasn't expecting replies this quick. You should go to sleep, Lugs! Aside from announcing it in a press release, SureFire hasn't made much noise about the emitter change. I'm guessing their market base doesn't really care what's in it, as long as it provides increased performance.
Nice! I think I'm going to have to get me one of these; I've been a lot more interested in single-celled lights these days.
Can't sleep at night when I'm on a graveyard schedule! Yeah, I guess they want the numbers to speak for themselves, rather than throw the latest names out there. More subtle approach, I guess. Me too! I wouldn't go through a box of cells so quickly! I should start recharging ASAP...
Definitely has a more civilian-oriented design (a la Fenix?). I know it sucks, lack of knurling means it probably won't be able to saw through other competitor's lights as well  but it should open the door for a wider group of customers for SF. I think it's a good direction to be heading, whilst keeping the standard tactical lineup as well.
I was struggling to decide whether an E1L or an L1 would be my next Surefire. Looks like this one could be the ideal compromise between the two.
That two-way pocket clip looks very intersting! However, personally I prefer the L1/A2 style tailcap operation to multi-clickies, but at least this one has only two modes so it won't be that bad.
that's pretty gosh darn sexy. i was looking at a T1 for my murse, but this one may win out after i handle it......
Not really, it's described on their site as intended as backup for detectives and other LEO. Of course, as with any other lights they produce, everybody can find a use for them, but "the general public" is not SF's target market.
"This page has been unpublished. You will be redirected to the home page in 5 seconds". I guess they posted the information prematurely? Anybody mind PM'ing me any pics they saved?
Weird, huh? So if the page has been unpublished, does that make the E1B an unflashlight? Are we all thoughtcriminals for wanting to buy one now? :toilet:
1x 123a, 5/80 lumen, 35/1.5 hour runtime, mode is switched by circuit similar to D series fenix does.
