I have been playing around with a new pack that has the capability of being used as a chest pack like the Hill People Gear Kit bag or Kifaru Koala.

It's called he Torba Mini and is made by Sarma Custom Made out of Israel. That bag is unique because it can be worn like a satchel over the shoulder or around the waist or as a chest pack. It's pretty unique.

Did you get it from them direct? I see they have a eBay store. How long did it take to arrive? Any US based sellers test you know of? Anything similar to look at? The other 2 mentioned seem quite a bit smaller.

I got the bag direct and it only took a few week tops. There are no US based sellers that I am aware of. I would get it through eBay.

Thanks, appreciate the info. I've been looking at some other options, is there something comparable in the US? Maxpedition maybe? It's a lot to spend from a foreign company, if I get it and don't like it I like that I could return something from say Amazon or another US based retailer.

I'm looking at the Maxpedition Mongo Versipack, any experience with it?

No idea I suggest you search the forum and find threads about it. This is a review of the Sarma bag.

Thanks for the review panzer. I've been on the fence about this bag for a couple of weeks, but after watching your video I think I'm in for one. At first it does seem a bit pricey for a small bag, but when you consider materials, build quality, organization, and multiple carry options, I believe the cost is justified.

Update: I received the X harness from Sarma Custom to use with the Torba Mini, this turns the Torba into a chest pack. It's pretty darn comfortable!

    Nice padding on the straps
    [IMG]

The lower straps pull out from your body to tighten the pack against your chest. Make it easy to adjust while wearing it!

Getting the strap adds another level of usefulness. I am impressed so far. I wore it under a pack last weekend and it was not even noticeable.

I'm looking at this bag but it seems it may be weirdly proportional. How deep is it when fully loaded. It seems it may be deeper than it is tall and I'm not sure I can jive with that. Thoughts?
