So, I have been musing about getting a Maratac Mid Pilot or a Marathon Patchfinder. Instead, I ended up picking up a Nixon Decender. Just got it yesterday

    Pro's
    • Nice legible face
    • Great blue color face
    • Swiss made movement
    • Left side crown
    • Great lume!
    • Comfortable strap
    Cons
    • A bit heavy, but wears very comfortably
I think I will try to find a blue silicone band with a deployment clasp and or a Nato strap for the new watch

Nice acquisition! Wear it long and in good health!

FWIW, I've recently acquired a couple of watches with silicone straps. Really liking them -- very comfortable.

    L'chaim!

Thank you. I've had it for two days now and I am surprised by how comfortable it is since it is fairly large. What makes the difference is having the crown on the left side of the watch. Since I wear my watch on the left hand, I think I have found the secret. Just my luck, most of the watches with left side crowns are uber expensive (Tudor, Omega, etc) :(

Wow, a couple of weeks in now and I can't believe how much of a difference a left side crown makes if you wear your watch on your left hand. For a thin dress watch it is no big deal, but this is the first time in 50 years I can wear a big, thick diver comfortably on my left hand
