G-shock and fitness device fans: thanks to @Tallboyjim posting on this thread: https://www.edcforums.com/threads/any-fitbit-users-on-board-here.137841/page-3

I've learned that G-shock has now added capability for step-counting. See G-shock GBA-800; from what I can glean from a very brief web surfing effort it looks like the first in a series for G-shock for 'fitness' watches.

Highlights I gathered: the GBA-800 is being sold in 8(?) colors, including a blue, yellow, white, charcoal. Amazon has one version that seems is the one intended for US market - and several other colors for a mere ~$30 more that are identified as Japanese market (Amazon are listing the US one at $96; the Japanese imports mostly at $120). This is an analog-digital watch; fitness data Casio has set up to synch via blue-tooth with either Android or iOS (Apple). Built in 3-axis accelerometer. Case size listed as 48.6 mm; 15.5 mm thk; 61 g weight.

See more info from Casio here: https://world.g-shock.com/asia-mea/en/special/gba-800/

No, I have not ordered one -- yet. :)
