I was checking out CountyComm and saw they have some new Embassy pens which included a limited run in Titanium. I have the original black aluminum one which I really like so I jumped on this Ti one. I love all things titanium so this should be a cool addition for EDC.

In addition they also have a limited run on the aluminum Embassy pen in three new colors.

They look nice, but I actually like the weight of my SS Embassy pen.
The next pen I buy will likely be something from the EDCF store. The Timberline and Wilson look pretty nice.
I am sure some of the Ti addicts will grab one though. Thanks for the heads up.

The SS version is a hefty pen for sure. From the specs, the titanium version weighs 2 1/4 ounces which is almost 3/4 ounce more than the aluminum one. Still not as much as the SS which weighs in at almost 4 ounces!

Thanks for the heads up! I am digging the red and green ones. Maybe they will be belated stocking stuffers for me :)

That titanium version is going to be a winner.

(CountyComm messed up though by not having it in stock sooner for the Christmas seaon.)

I ordered the TI one as soon as I seen they where out. It should be here next Monday, I can't wait. I had the SS it was too heavy.

I happen to like the weight of my SS - it's like PT for the fingers. :D

I'm not enough of a Ti junkie to drop $99 for one though - I'd just as soon spend that on a Tuffwriter.

    Oh, good grief.

If anyone orders one, let us know how it compares to the SS.

It wont be ordering one for a $175. The web page says it has some significant weight to it also.

can anyone post a side by side pic of the embassy pen and an original fisher bullet (closed and open)? Im looking to see how the length and thickness compare. that copper one looks nice but wow so much money! I wonder what the profit %/pen is on that one

If I recall, the Tuffwriter EDC titanium pen was somewhere between $230 - $250 so I think an all titanium pen for $99 isn't all that bad. It may not have the same fit & finish of the one twice as expensive but it should be fine for EDC as they both use the same Fisher space pen refill.

Heh - my bad. I'd buy a regular Tuffwriter pen. I'm just not a big Ti junkie.

I've been looking hard at these and have some quick questions for the owners:

    1. Does the outer barrel edge above the grip cut into your fingers while in use? It looks pretty "sharp" in the pictures. Is this an issue at all?

    2. How comfortable is the pen to use for longer periods of writing? Is it well balanced? Does it make your fingers cramp up?

I really appreciate any info and help you can provide me with. Thanks!

I'd like to add one more question:

    3. Is the clip held with screws only on the CountyComm pens? I'd like to know wether we can take it off easily to bend it back if it loses strength over time, or after clipping it to, say, a thick belt.

Tuffwriter clips are welded as well, so they can't be disassembled (not that you'd need to, because they're stronger than the CountyComm clips, I hear).
