Hello from Japan! Large scale natural disaster occurs several times in our country in recent years. I have carried only some flashlights so far. In addition to these, I decided to carry useful tools everyday to prepare for disasters in the future. However, my wife said that our family should reserve emergency provisions and drinking waters, blankets, simple portable toilets, FAK and pills, etc at first before than I collect flashlights or gears. It is natural what she said. From now on, I will prepare for all things not only for as my hobby but also to protect my family. I want to learn lots of things in this forums. Thank you in advance! Sorry for my poor English but I would like to make an effort.

Konnichiwa Nekolf, you've got some great gear there, do you have bigger stuff as well as the keychain gear? And your English is very good, a lot better than my Japanese! Edit, forgot to ask as well, how easy is it to buy EDC gear over there, or is it all shipped from the USA?
Welcome Nekolf. And I think your wife is right in her nurturing idea. Especially if you have children have good drink and comfort items prepared. Next distractions for the children, books colouring in and toys to calm them. Then the tools to move you all safely if required. But I reckon you have the basics already organised
It looks like you’re not new to EDC, only new to this place. Or how else does someone acquire only quality stuff without being enabled by us?
Doumo arigatougozaimasu, Gwac110 Yes, I have full size tools but there are not so many. I bought a whistle, spyderco mini-police (discontinued), klarus keychain light, and snap hook in our country. TEC accessories are also available in this country. Other gears were from US, the shipping costs were so expensive.
Hello cheeser, I cannot say yet that I have prepared for enough emergency supplies. The items calming children is a good idea! Thank you
Hello Warfusion, I have some full sized tools and three pocket organizers. I am intent on taking these pictures. I would let you see these in this thread when I finished
Hello Batteur, I carry everyday some flashlights for more than ten years. However, I did not know most of the gears which folks posted in this forum until this year. I lurked in this forum and learned in various threads for half a year. I must thank EDCF and folks

Arigatougozaimasu! I love the HDS Systems that is a history of my collection of flashlights. I sold most of the flashlights of my collection to purchase various gears because I was enlightened in this forums, but I did not sell the HDS lights.
