Hi all: I gave my brother my R12 so i need to replace it with a similar sized backpack. What i need are suggestions, any suggestions similar in size to the R12 will be appreciated. Thank you all in advance. Sent from my LG-LS995 using Tapatalk
Another R12? Or are there things you'd like to change? Useage etc? Out hiking I prefer osprey bags over anything else they just work for me escapist 25 is my current one I think it's meant more for cycling but suits my needs perfectly. The more information you can give the more chance people have of suggesting something you may like.
Hi Henryhoover: You are correct, i should have been more specific. I liked the R12, and was fine with it, however, now having the chance to replace, something different would be nice. I like wide packs as I'm told I'm pretty wide shouldered(I'm overall pretty overweight though, built like a bathtub plug, short and wide around). I like tactical packs as well as more "gray man" packs. I need organization, multiple pockets are a must. I don't beat up on my gear so ironman tough is not needed but will be considered. I tend to over pack if i have the room so, R12 size is perfect. Main use would be edc with hiking mixed in, g.h.b. duties fall on my R24. Any suggestions?. Thanks for your time. Maxpedition falcon? Tbh IMO it's hard to beat the R12 I like them little bit too tactical for me personally but they're hard to fault other than that, there's another maxped bag I saw being reviewed on here that looked similar sized and promising but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it,
I'm really intrigued by First Tactical stuff. I also really like the Maxped & Vanquest packs of similar size. Good luck with your search!
So far, I'm liking the First Tactical 1/2 day pack. All have been great suggestions, any more?... Thanks all!!!... Sent from my LG-LS995 using Tapatalk
Camelbak Urban Assault http://amzn.to/2aZzqV6 Tom Bihn Synapse 25 Grey Ghost Gear - Stealth Operator Pack http://amzn.to/2ado7YC Alpha One NINER Evade
I own a Camelbak HAWG and I really like this bag. It's tough, the size is just right and you can organize your stuff.
5.11 Covert 18. It's a "grayman" type pack with great organization and plenty durable. Works great for hiking also, just took mine on a 3 miler Saturday.
I pulled the trigger on a First Tactical Half Day last night!. I should have it in a few days and will post my opinions on it as soon as possible. I will keep all suggestions in mind as I'm not sure how I will feel about the 1/2 day pack. Thanks everyone!....
I second the recommendation for the Evade. If you're looking for something with Molle, check out the Direct Action Dust or Dragon Egg. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
Sorry, just saw that you pulled the trigger on the first tactical pack. Please post pics and your impressions! Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
The direct action bags are amazing on video, and I thougjt long amd hard about the dust, availability helped me make my choice, direct action stuff is a bit hard to find here in the U.S. I will post pics and impressions as soon as they are available. Thank you very much for all the input!.....
