In need of assistance please: At first I didn't have enough screwdriver capability in my Vanquest pocket Husky maximizer pouch and now I have too many. My goal is to EDC a #00, 0, 1 and 2 Phillips bits and 2/32", 4/32", 6/32" and 8/32" slotted bits in a compact format. Right now I have 5 different tools with bits in the pouch: 1. Sears Craftsman given to me by Moshe with 4,6,8, and 10/32" slotted bits. Very compact keychain tool. 2. LM Micra with 2/32" and 6/32" slotted bits and a flat Phillips that I'm not counting 3. Stanley New Version pen style screwdriver with Phillips #0 and 1, and 4/32" and 6/32" slotted 4. Chapman #2021 EDC Screwdriver set with Phillips #1 and 2, and 6/32" and 8/32" slotted 5. Generic separate Phillips #00 from an old set. Lots of redundancy especially with the 6/32" slotted on 4 different tools. I know that "2 is one and 1 is none" and that a little redundancy is good but I'd like to relocate one or 2 of these. One option would be to pick up a County Comm Technician (pen style but different bit selection than Stanley) for 5 bucks and pair it with the Chapman set giving me all the bits I want to carry in just 2 tools. Anyone have the county Comm Technician or any other suggestions? Thanks
Didn't we do this with you just 10 days ago? Are you not looking for interchangeable bits in the 2 common sizes,1/4" amd 6mm for driving with every imaginable size and style of screw available as the active end of the bit? So you can use any small 1/4" handle and pair it with any bits that you feel like you need,right? There are good quality 1/4" to 6mm adapters too so that you can use the same small handle for all of the bits which can be stored easily in a chapstick sized plastic tube for example and then you would have a crazy tiny kit in the end. The issue that I have with the plastic driver handles is that they dont last at all and have no real turning power or precision because if it. It seems to me that if you need quality then it needs to be metal. Leatherman bit cards can be really handy and portable too! So unless I am just completely missing something here why not find the handle that you are comfortable with and then the bits and see how well it can be packaged.
I have a few of the Technician screwdrivers, some Wiha sets, Stanley, etc. I tried to see what I like. I don't need a screwdriver often but what does work in a compact size for me is the SwissTech tool, Benchmade Bluebox and the Husky 8-in-1. The Husky will give you all the small bits that you need at good quality at a reasonable price. I still have a couple of the old style in the packaging from about 15 years ago, just in case. All I am trying to understand is why someone would carry 5 different tools instead of one bit holder and the bits they want?
So have you backed out of your own thread? I just saw the Gerber Armbar for the first time in person and I am shocked that I had not even heard of this one until now?! If I make it through Today without going back for it it will be a minor miracle for sure!

You got me thinking: I have an old 4-in-1 screwdriver that uses 1/4" double ended bits. I will fabricate a new barrel that lets me put a cap on both ends... sort of a big brother to the Stanley that you carry. I will look around for one, too. Someone probably has one available already. I just saw this XDrive Pocket Driver for under US$20. It likely needs a ranger band on the bit access door but looks as if it will carry four or five 1/4" bits. Sent from my LG-V520 using Tapatalk
Don't forget you can always switch out which bits you carry. If you've got a small bit driver, just carry the bits that YOU need on a regular basis. I don't bother with a med/large flathead because I always have one on another tool, but I do carry an IKEA sized allen bit because I use it
