I love my guardian 3 but I don't seem to carry it much because the sheath is so bad. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
Hey No Agenda and vegassprky, I know of one who makes a killer kydex/holstex sheath. If you're interested, just shoot me a message!
Mine did that for a while, but it seems to have loosened up a bit. I kind of still want the kydex sheath; I'll probably move to one of those eventually. For now, I flipped the plastic inside around, as well as the knife, for left-handed carry, and it seems to work pretty well.
It took me forever to realize that just flipping stuff around would work much better than the weird way I was wearing it with the right-handed sheath.
You're going to replace Kydex-lined leather with leather-lined kydex. I can't decide who's inside out!
The insert in mine is not kydex but some kind of thin plastic. I use the leather lined to keep from scratching the blade during removal and insertion of knife.
For what they are, they're really reasonably priced. If they only had more belly, I probably would have pulled the trigger on one of those last year. (Instead, I ordered something custom).
My new sheath for the Guardian 3 in steps. Still need to put on leather belt strap for horizontal carry.
I see three. Photobucket has been amazingly aggravating the past week or two. You know what you need to go with that 0900? Just sayin'.
