Well, she just arrived and she's a beauty! I've been on the hunt for one since Rick isn't taking any new orders at this time. I was on a couple dealer lists, and I had a few "want to buy" posts out there. An awesome forumite on another board pm's me and hooked me up. :highfive:

Never used or carried. This knife sports a 3.5 inch spanto blade, green G-10 over titanuim, flipper, and rock solid lockup. Rick makes some absolutely fantastic knives, and this one will be my new EDC. I think it's great how all the parts for the knife, including all screws and hardware, are made in house by Rick. Enjoy the pictures.

I just noticed the option to mount the clip for either tip-up or tip-down carry. Very nice touch. O0

Yeah, that is cool that you have the tip up or down for the XM-18.

That it is. I actually swapped mine to tip up carry. Leaves less of the knife sticking out of my pocket when clipped, and orientates the flipper perfectly for me when I take the knife out of my pocket. ;D

After playing with it for the weekend, this knife is awesome!!

(I blame TKC for getting mew hooked! ;) )

Bruiser, I am glad that you like your XM-18!!!
What tool did you use to switch it from tip down to tip up? TIA Bruiser.

That is such a nice knife. I still need to get one. I wish I would have gotten one sooner.

TKC, I used a real small allen key for the clip screws. Not sure what size off hand. I'll check my toolbox tomorrow when I get to work. I thought they might be small torx's, but there was no star shape in them. The handle screws are definitely torx though.

DH, if you get the chance, GET ONE! ;D I think you'd be very happy with one. It's such a nice stout folder, and Rick does an incredible job. I'm thoroughly impressed.

TKC, in regards to the allen key size, the one I used is standard .050 Hope that helps. ;D

Congrats Bruiser, you're one of the lucky ones! I do hope that you're continuing to enjoy that fantastic knife. I put in an order for one as soon as I saw TKC's original post but no joy yet. There's a ray of hope though... I heard that Rick was putting final finishes on a batch will be sent to my dealer who has earmarked one of them for me. :)
