I have been on the fence for over a YEAR on purchasing a Sebenza.....well, just the right one came across my path a few days ago right here on EDCF, and is now in my possession! This is probably the most I've ever spent on a pocket knife, hence the looooong wait to purchase one. I now understand all the commotion about these....WOW! I'm going to have a hard time containing myself about getting a second...

Me tinks tat's one of the most gorgeous-looking Sebbies I've seen!!
What's the wood on the inlays?

I've been resisting the temptation for a long time (lack of funds help), but if I can save up for a *really* nice knife, I think it'll be one just like yours, DB. Thanks for sharing.

(Great pics and lanyard too, BTW. I must say it again: such a gorgeous knife, and it comes with such a crappy stock lanyard...)

The inlay is Bloodwood. In bright light, it has a deep red metallic sheen to it. I honestly thought I was beyond getting one, but then this popped up for sale here and I barely had enough time to do a double take before I snatched it up! Love it love it love it!

My boss was worried about me today and thought I was doing something "inappropriate" because she kept finding me with my hand in my pocket "fondling something"....

Well, you know what Freud would say... ;D

But Freud also said, "Gentlemen, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar!"

And a Sebbie is just a Sebbie.

I don't understand this whole Sebbie thing, but looking at my bank account
I'm not sure I really want to.... :brickwall:

I didn't fully understand it until I was actually holding one. Then, it just all made sense after that....

It's a gradual progression. I remember telling myself the same thing about knives and flashlights not too long ago. And now here I am with knives and flashlights that I never would have considered worth buying over a year ago.

Congratulations DB! Chris Reeve makes some of my favorite knives and you have great taste in his offerings! O0 You might as well start planning on that second you mentioned right now!

Between lights, knives, and now Atwood tools, I'm on my way to :broke:

    Here's my Sebbie family.

It's awesome! I'm little nervous to use it for any hard work at this point, but as I get more comfortable with it, I'm sure it will see more and more pocket carry.

Yep, I'm right there with ya... :broke: :broke: :broke:

I'll be looking, but it will be a long while if/when #2 gets purchased.
