Here's my first attempt at forging a knife. 1095 Carbon Steel forged with coal. The handle is Olive Green Canvas Micarta w/ nickel pins and red liners. I also wet formed a leather holster for it. What do you guys think?

Those red liners are nice. (Red is my favorite color) I say you have a promising career as a knife maker. Good job.

Thanks guys..I really like the look of a hammer forged blade paired with a clean modern handle. I still need to get an etching machine to put my makers mark on it.

Looks great! Can't wait to see more. Green micarta is my favorite handle material. Did you make the micarta or buy it? The sheath looks great too, btw.

The quality of your work is nice and clean, but the blade design is also attractive and functional looking. As long as it holds and edge and doesn't break, I'd say you've got a winner.
