This is my first knife. Got it for my birthday one year when I was a Cub Scout. Not sure what year but between 32 and 34 years ago. It's been in my carry rotation ever since. As a scout, I carried it on a lanyard that attached to my belt and dangled into my front pocket. [IMG]

Ha! My first knife too, got it in Royal Rangers (similar to Boy Scouts). No longer have mine but they are one of the most useful pocketknives.

Someone stole my first SAK at camp, but I've still got my second -- a humble Huntsman from around 23-25 years ago.

Thanks for sharing your pic and story! :)

It doesn't even look worn! That's impressive.

They were my first pocket knife, as well. I ruined them, though, and I'm sad I ever did so. They were great.

Here's mine. My parents bought it in Switzerland while on vacation and brought it back to me in the early 70's. Wish I could polish out the idiot marks from sharpening attempts as a kid.

My dad gave me my first Vic Tinker. It's in my watch box at home, permanently out of the rotation. Too much value...
I've got several other 'milestone' knives in the mix, though. Second Class BSA Tinker, First Class BSA one handed Trekker, marriage ALOX Cadet, Graduation ALOX Bushcrafter (swissbianco), etc.

you can, if you take your time, I've brought worse ones back to polished. There is plenty of info out there about rejuvenating Victorinox knives.
