    I use a Pelican as a topcase on my KLR650. I wanted a bag I could use for commuting and dayhike/overnight pack.

    Thanks. I saw it the day it was posted and controlled my immediate urge to send a PM. That bag is too tall for my use.

    Which is good because I added a simple organizational device and now my XRay is working much better as my daily carry:

    This little storage clipboard slides in the hydration compartment with my 15" laptop and allows me to carry just the right amount of paper for meetings. My files are no longer getting destroyed in the bag! Plus it forces me to stay organized and only bring what I really need.
