84mm Small Climber
Love these little guys (84mm), got a Golfer on the way.
I don't like SAKs normally*, but those alox versions are neat!
Is the grip any better on those than on the plastic handles?
Especially the red and black alox handles look very nice!
I kind of learned to hate my Victorinoxes as a kid,
because they went slippery very fast and it was a chore to cut a stick for barbecueing your cervelat.
It's been years since I last touched a SAK.
* No offense to the many SAK collectors on this forum!
Thanks, no offense taken.
I don't find that the Alox models have any more grip than the cellidors, but I've never had a problem with the grip to begin with.
You shouldn't have a problem if you remember that slip joints are for cutting, not stabbing.
I always had SAKs as a kid, but I just recently rediscovered them. I carry them as a multitool, not necessarily as my primary blade - in fact, the blade is the tool I use the least on my SAKs.
This pack is tough, highly recommend Osprey.
Just loaded it with 115lbs to do some push-ups and it held up just fine.
I have one of the smaller osprey day packs. Incredibly tough, it went through the car crash with me on the passenger seat. The nalgene that was inside broke open and pinched the fabric. There was only one small hole ( just big enough to fit my pinky through).
I have considered sending out inn under warranty, but it isn't even bad enough to tally bother me.
That's another thing that makes Osprey so awesome, their warranty.
