I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my poor analogy using public schools and prisons. Inflammatory comments were not my intention I was just trying to make an analogy about how the people you hang around effect you. I apologize. I would never intentionally try to offend.
late and off the topic of the thread i suppose, but in my friends and family I've seen a direct link between how physical their parents were with them, and certain emotional/social problems. Meaning, negative results the more "beatings" they got in childhood. Of course, the ones with issues still claim they are stronger and more respectfull as a result of thier beatings personally, i grew up around angry men who resorted to hitting when things didn't go their way or children were unruley. as a result (at least partially), i'm a rather short fused man who feels like hitting people too frequently....... luckily i decided that i don't agree with hitting people!
back on topic, latley i always have two, but to be completely honest its only because i like to carry more than one.....almost as toys, like an oversized kid who dosnt want to leave his hotweels or GI joe at home. Just my sak is enough for 99.999999999 % of the time. yet i still have to carry a medium or large folder just because....mostly, i want to play with it when no one is looking
That's true. You mostly don't need a beater folder/fixed blade in your EDC, but you just want and enjoy to carry it
absolutely, lately its been this zt0550.....i certainly have no real need of this 6 ounce chunk of steel and titanium, this beast, in my pocket. but rotating it open and listening to that ti lockbar smack into place is just enjoyable.
I would have to say it depends on your geography. Urban vs. Rural. I have no need for a fixed blade at the mall but when the paved road ends, I go for fixed blade every time.
Yeah, for those living in a city, a fixed blade is overdone. In a rural area a fixed blade might be essential.
Wouldn't do me any good If I'm in a hurry I write like I read. with out puncuation . I try to slow down and use it writng and grammar aren't my strong points. I excel at math and science and working with my hands .
My black alox cadet is my second knife. Rides in the watchpocket of my jeans, since I have it. In the main pocket there is a one-hand-folder of my EDC-rotation.
I'll give that a try....the watch pocket. I was kinda concerned that if I sat down it might push it up and then I'd lose it when I rose. No issues for you?
I'll usually have a small GP knife on me, and one razor sharp blade for food prep. Kind of back-asswards, but that's just me.
I wouldn't have counted myself before because the extra blades were really MTs, but lately I have been. At work I've decided to only carry a traditional for the sake of professional appearance. Lately while off work and in my normal clothes I've been tossing it in my pocket along with my big blades and rocking a little of the old and new together, so I guess I fit here.
