I am curious what folding knives you all prefer the most for $20(around), or under?

One that comes to mind right away is the Victorinox Cadet.

You aren't going to get much for $20, unfortunately.

I agree, that's why I am curious with that limitation what people would choose.

Ka-Bar Dozier...really nice knife for the money. The small ones run around $15 and the larger models can be found for right around $20.

I also agree with the previous posts that picked the Vic Cadet and the Case Sodbuster Jr.

I was going to suggest the Dozier folder, but I paid around $27 for mine...but that's a bit closer to full retail.

Some Byrd knives go for under 20usd. Kabar dozier hunter is a great choice too.

This. I trust $20 Victorinox knives more than any other $20 knife.

Case mini Blackhorn sold through Lowe's Hardware for under $10.

Or, a handful of more basic Swiss Army knife models. I think my Victorinox Waiter/Bartender model was around $20.

Great value for your money right there. I have the 704 and love it. Cost me $0.99 + shipping. If you don't need it to lock up you could get the slipjoint Spyderco Grasshopper. Also a very nice little blade.

If sticking to the <$20 sticker price, I'd definitely be looking at the following ideas:

Victorinox: Spartan, Tinker, Sportsman, Cadet, Pioneer (can be found on sale with AAA Inova for $20 shipped sometimes)

    Case: Sod Buster Jr.

    Buck: 300-line Stockman

    Ka-Bar: Mini Dozier, Dozier

SRM: effectively any of their knives

Navy: likewise, most of their knives are fair game

I'm certain I can think of others with a bit more time. :)

You can find some versions of the CRKT M16 for $20. These are pretty good lightweight EDC blades. But, I took would say Victorinox is a great way to go.

Victorinox, Wenger, Opinel, any of the small Buck pen/jackknives, or a Case Sodbuster Jr.

+1 on the Victorinox....you should be able to get a Tinker or a Super Tinker for $20.

Definitely any of the SRM knives (I have many and love them) and Bee/Enlan knives are also good. Focalprice.com carries several SRM knives with free shipping including the (in)famous 710 which I like quite a bit. For $20, you can get two or three!

Buck Redpoint, super easy one hand open and pretty darn sharp.
