ANyone ever mess with Surefire lights?
Sadly no. I got told off the other day for having so many lights
I got a few my favorite being my 6p polished with a darksucks clip and moddolar 1600lm neutral triple.

Dan , do you thing they are that much superior to other lights??
Heh - here we go again.
As far as usage, they are probably the best. I drive tow truck at night, so I needed one that will never fail me. Started with a olight, as thats what the cops use around here. Mine broke when I dropped it a few too many times. So I went to surefire, and have'nt had a problem since. Started with aSF Fury, with a ronac 18650 body. Loved it, but wanted brighter. So I bought my buddies old 6P LED Defender, and modded it. Its got z41 with the mclicky, darksucks clip, and the oveready lmh 1600lm dropin. There is litteraly nothing to go wrong. Solid design, no open internals, waterproof to 20ft. (Went scubadiving with it with a UV dropin for looking at corals)
All in all, they aren't superior in every way, but in the size, and quality of them...yeah they are in my eyes.
I can't find a light in a 2x 18350 format, that can put out 1600lm when I need it. Set it on the road, and stop traffic because its so bright and it fits in my pocket. Its my EDC. I had it run over by a semi truck, dropped it millions of times, and never a problem. Its just bulletproof. And so easy to mod, or buy mods for it. I have went through a dozen or so other brands, and always go back to the trusty sf. Ill get a picture of it here in a second. It is probably able to fit in this thread no problem. I have a solarforce host, and Its nice, but it doesn't compare.
SF make pretty nice lights, my favorite is a 9P, bored and reanodised by oveready, with a 1000 lumen moddoo dropin.
The old M4 and M6 are pretty nice lights too, and I am saving for an M3LT now
One of my favorite SureFire torches is the A2 - which has several interesting and useful features ....
One that gets even better with an "Onion ring"
The onion ring makes it easy to swap LED colours and drive current to the LEDs.
Mine currently has 2x cool white, and one warm white LED - all there have been sanded to diffuse them, so get a nice neutral flood of light
I actually prefer the calipsoii multi-mode / multi-color ring mod, but that koala ring is very handy, too....
Ah yes, that one is cool too - i dont use my A2 all that much though, maybe one set of 123s a year.
The UV leds in the onion ring are fun to play with though !
Sometimes I turn my nitecore MH2C on and think 800lm is not enough for pocket carry. Other times I think its too much. Life
