Sooo.. for those of us that like to work in the shed.. and cant keep everything in pockets while rolling around under cars etc.... make a spot for your phone that is away from the work bench... I just spent 30 minutes with lightly magmatic tweezers pulling metal filings out of my phones speaker.. Oppse.
Did the same think with a handie talkie. Had it clipped to my belt while grinding down some welds. Had to take the speaker out and pick all the filings out of it.
Can you use a stronger magnet to pull them out ? Hard drives contain ridiculously powerful magnets if you have one laying around.
I have a electromagnet I built in highschool.... But wave a powerful magnet over a mobile phone.... hmm pass. Not 100% on what having some of the innards of a sensitive electronic device exposed to a strong magnetic charge may have..
