I just put a Slimmy into use. Right now they come with a mini-expanding Zebra for free.

    I love it.

Not Ti, no clip, but awesome anyway

I carry my cash in a magnetic leather money clip now, but before that I carried it folded in one of the LA Wallet's inner compartments. You can stuff a decent wad (~8-10 bills?) in there. The wallet's about 1/4" too short to carry U.S. bills unfolded (as in, by tucking half of the bill in one inner pocket, and the other half in the other pocket -- not that you'd want to, but in case anyone was curious).

    Cheers

    Thanks for the info!

It will most likely be my next wallet purchase.

I use a Filofax leather business card case as my wallet. I carry my wallet in my front pocket, and wanted something small. You might look into that route.

I also used a Retro 51 metal business card case in the past which worked well too.

I found at my local Walmart a cheap plastic credit card holder with clip for $.99 about four years ago been using it faithfully and it hasn't broken . I am very amazed . I tried to find it online but no luck try your local walmart look in the accessories near electronics the next time you are there . It's nothing special but it is thin and functional. Good luck

Well, they haven't yet :). The points actually point in more towards each other than it looks. So they rarely catch on anything.

I will have to look at home, but I have an old Sony memory stick holder that looks to be that same exact case with different insides.

I have found that "card size" wallets are not big enough to hold bi-folded notes, but regular wallets are either too large (surface area wise) or too thick (i.e. trifolds). I won't carry my wallet in a back pocket and I had already tried the money clip solution years ago.

So I'm still on the search.

I don't have one, but I think that the Timberland credit card wallet that Isildur is referring to may be tall enough that a singley-folded bill can fit in the cash slot.

This is my favorite wallet I have ever owned. So much so - that I've bought a few that sit in drawer for future use. Come to think of it, I might stock up and buy a couple more.

It is called Timbuk2 ID wallet. Originally I found them in an L.L. Bean store and online, but I believe they have since been discontinued. Recently, I was able to find an online store with them in stock called Hilton's Tent City.

    Things I like about it:
    * the money clip is sturdy and holds as many bills as I would like to stuff in it (4-8 bills folded in half).
    * the ID inside pocket is big enough to put more cards in than just driver's license
    * the larger back pocket is big enough to hold notes, cards and whatever else I like to stuff in there
    * it sits nicely in my front left pocket or my scottevest travel vest
    * cost all of $10

    What I carry today:
    clip: 3x$100's, 1x$20
    back pocket: 2 credit cards
front pocket: 2 ATM cards in the front pocket, 2 membership cards, driver's license

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU -
    for these recent posts.

I am an insatiable, avid internet surfer for "functional solutions" (and my bookmarks can prove it) and I CANNOT BELIEVE I never came across these items you all have referred to.

(seems as though my tendonitis is warring with my treacherous websurfs)

I use one of the Chisco keychain bags from REI. I'm using more cash now so I only have cards, ID, Insurance ID in it.

The Gadgeteer reviewed a RFID wallet recently, with the advent of chip encoded cards it might be an interesting alternative. Doesn't look very minimalist to me (and ain't cheap). I suppose the aluminum card cases will block RF at lest cost.
