They still study Rommel's theories on warfare in the US Army Command and General Staff College. In the early 1940's he wrote: "Speed of maneuver in operations and quick reaction in command are decisive. Troops must be able to carry out operations at top speed and in complete cooperation. . . . One must constantly strive for maximum performance, for the side which makes the greater effort is the faster-and the faster wins the battle."
HELM How does your wallet work after you take stuff out? What I mean is if you have say 6 cards in it for a week but decide to go down to 4 will it still hold the cards tight? IMO this is one area where wallets of that general design often fail. From your pics it looks like you might have solved that problem a little with the extra card slots instead of just one big pouch.
I thought as much myself, thinking I could lose it all, but have changed my mind. Now that I have a spandex wallet on the back of my phone, I'm many times more aware of where it is at all times. Before with a purse full of phone, wallet, membership cards, mirror, lip gloss, and other too-much-junk, someone could probably have lifted my wallet and I wouldn't notice until I needed it. Now I keep the phone+wallet in a front pocket or in my hand, and because I often check my phone for time/texts/email then I am also constantly checking on my wallet. This spandex version I like better than the silicone version I tried, as the spandex seems to hold more and also provide a more secure grip for less. I currently carry my drivers license, two credit cards, emergency info laminated card, two business cards, aSkimSafe RFID protective insert, and $100 bill. Also have two cards that are about to be added to emergency card and therefore not needed on separate cards - auto club membership & healthcare membership.
Unfortunately materials stretch all the time. As you've mentioned, one solution is to have several card slots. But if you squeeze 2 cards into one slot and later decide to have it hold only one, it will feel a tad loose. I have 3 slots on the card side and I only use the back most slot to hold 2 cards. The front 2 never holds more than one. As was mentioned before, it is a question of discipline. Short or long haul (trips), the ID stays where it is and my health insurance is behind it. One card and my CCW is in the back slot, and then one card each in the middle and front slot. These usually are my ATM and that one CC that does not charge fees, etc no matter where in the world you use. Essentially, front 2 slots best reserved for cards that you always use. Everything else, and I have A LOT of cards, I keep in one of the PTOs (passport travel organizers) that I produce. And this stays in my EDC backpack.
I enjoy history! Many I should minor in it. Arm, I do believe many on both sides respected Rommel for his leadership and tactics. A German, but not a nazi I've also heard.
