Hi I need a credit card sized wallet for the days when I don't need my big wallet. Any good non-leather recommendations? As I'm from Europe I also want to jam exchange coins in there. And I need it for running (sweating).
Couch Guitar Straps makes wallets (among other things) out of vintage automotive vinyl. Look for their Slimline or Slimline II wallets. I have a few and they are great. I also have a Herschel Supply wallet (full size, not a cc wallet) and while I don't like it for design reasons, it seems to be really well built. Sent from an alternate dimension using Talkatap.
Can recommend the Micro wallet (from paperwallet). I really like mine. Best I've ever had. https://www.edcforums.com/threads/show-us-your-every-day-carry-volume-21.131899/page-501#post-2680581
Recycled firefighter has some great options. I have had this one for the last three years. Front pocket comfortable, even when jammed full of $1’s. As a volunteer firefighter, I approve my own recommendation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you are good with fake leather, the horizontal Dash 2.0 actually functions very well in my experience. The newer Dash 4.0 is a lot harder to use and slightly less compact. If you don't want anything that even looks like leather, I've heard good things about the Magpul wallets, but have no personal experience.
Looks nice, the logo stitch seems kind of unpractical though. And sweating might be an issue with it (I need it to run on mountains). There's also a clone: https://www.etsy.com/de/shop/Flowfold?ref=l2-shopheader-name§ion_id=14597597
Have you considered a cloth/elastic wallet? Take a look at the E8 from elephant wallet. https://elephantwallet.com/products/e8-wallet-black Another that may work for you is the EZGO slim 2.0 https://ezgo-wallets.myshopify.com/collections/ezgo-wallets/products/ezgo-slim?variant=31488329731
it’s made out of fire hose and I haven’t had sweating be an issue with mine. For the price you can’t beat it in my opinion. Over a year of carry and it still looks good! Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have one of the Recycled Firefighter notebook covers for Rite in the Rain pads & it's pretty sweet. I looked at the wallet, but: A. I like leather B. The elastic band for "securing" bills was a deal-breaker. I'm too lazy to fold them more than once and it's just not secure enough for my needs. If they offered a more elegant solution for bills, etc., I might've gotten one...instead I went with a leather Dopp that fit my needs perfectly
The 4.0 is more of an elastic material and where the edges are folded back and stitched, it is hard to slide the cards in and out. It is also not as stretchy as the 2.0 (which is more of a spandex material), making it harder to carry as many cards. I would suppose you could put a few coins in either the 2.0 or 4.0, though I suspect the 2.0 would hold them better. I wouldn't think you could carry very many, though.
Colonel Littleton front pocket wallet in alligator. Also in cow or buffalo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I only have 2 cc, so the first one might become loose. I like the second ones design, but the logo is kind of ugly.
I like leather too, but for sports it's kind of a no go. Check the flowfold above I linked to, it seems to come without an elastic band.
I looked at them, but none of them really blows my skirt up. I'm set with the Dopp for the foreseeable future. I understand what you mean about leather for sports, but I inadvertently left my Dopp in my swim trunks while taking a dip at a B&B pool on vacation. It and my cards, money & ID were none the worse for wear.
Gotcha. I have one of these and it wouldn't be loose even with one card. It has a middle 'thru' pocket and the two outside ones are stitched closed at the bottom and would be able to hold coins most likely. https://www.etsy.com/listing/507558862/black-slim-wallet-minimalist-wallet
Brother look no further, Chums wallet is the way to go. From Portugal so i know how it is with coins. Have mine for years now and nothing can replace it. Believe me, you need to try it.
Yea, I keep a few of the Chums wallets around also. One in my bag for business cards, and one in each bag with a couple dollar bills and $4 in quarters. Separate zippable compartments and an ID window. And inexpensive in case you don't like it...
