how is chapstick metrosexual?
ROTFL! I almost wet my pants on that one! Great comment....
It's the Chapgrip. Maybe unnecessary, but I think it's kinda cool. You can get them on Amazon. They come in a variety of colors: http://www.amazon.com/Chap-Grip-Neoprene-Holder-SHIPPING/dp/B00309NI6Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1315013319&sr=8-1
I carry a small tin of Burts Bee's lip Balm, its about the size of a silver dollar, find I don't like the stick style lip balm very much, plus the bees wax stuff works great in my opinion.
I live in North Dakota. In the winter it is -20, windy, and the air is very dry, so lip stuff is a necessity. I use Carmex is the little jar.
Yep, I EDC chapstick as well... either burts bees or carmex.
I have a stick of Blistex in my pocket organizer and another in my EDC bag. I like soft lips, and in an emergency I can smear it on a dry cotton ball, throw some sparks at it, and it burns for a little while. That's a legitimate survival item! ;D
Cool! Keeping chapsticks in pockets isn't ideal as body heat often melts the wax.
Not as often as I should.
I ALWAYS have some ChapStick within arms reach. Leaving the house without it is like leaving without my wallet! And I use it constantly I'm not sure what it is, maybe I have very chapped lips or I'm just a baby, who knows ;D I typically use the Classic Original ChapStick but I want to try some other brands and flavors.
The Burts Bees stuff is very cool & soothing (Menthol-ish?) IF your lips are already badly chapped, too.
J.D's makes bacon flavor lip balm. mmmmmm
good ol carmex here. I carry it everywhere.
Burt's Bees Beeswax in a tube. Good for my lips, and as has already been said, it can be used to keep things from rusting or as an emergency firestarter.
I use lip balm on my carbon blades.
You don't have to be a metrosexual to carry chapstick. I ride a Harley to work pretty frequently and whenever I do I carry some carmex in my pocket. A steady 60mph wind on your face for half an hour tends to dry your lips out. I know a number of pretty surly bikers who carry chapstick in their jackets or vests. If they can pull it off without being anywhere near being regarded as metro, then you're pretty safe.
@Nubby: I'm metro and proud of it!
Ah, well then...carry on. It is good to know that something as innocuous and mundane as chapstick could bridge the divide between metrosexual and surly biker.
