They are good, no doubt, but honestly, other companys like Oakley or Blackhawk aren't far behind.

I've got some pairs from Helikon-Tex and they are doing the same Job for a less price

Ok gloves for loading stuff all day, but I find the palms not very grippy on the steering wheel.

I think the fast fit because there is no Velcro also something that lasts long
    And fairly tough

    Hey, fellow Canadian here.

I've worn a few different types of Mechanix gloves for work over the years and, while I AM a fan of the product, I've found cheaper alternatives that I'm not afraid to destroy. Lately I've been using Firm Grip General Purpose gloves from Home Depot. At about $17 CAD I usually get about 3 months of good work out of them.

I have several pair of Mechanix gloves. I like them because they fit my hands better than most other brands. I use the standard, insulated, and the vented style in partnership with Rogue fitness.

I haven't had very good experiences with them. I like the fit, but the finger tips always wore out way too quickly. There are cheaper alternatives I go with now like the ones from Harbor Freight or Home Depot

I also find the fingers wear out really fast for me too. Personally I just stock up on the hardy brand from HF. They fit me just fine and I find it easier to trash a $5 in a month when they wear out vs trashing $20 every month.

Like a lot of things nowadays, you are paying extra for the name I feel,....I too have found cheaper gloves that last longer/provide better value for money overall.

I have a pair of the Material4X type and I don't much care for them. I think the material is too slick to be of much use because I can't hold on to anything. They feel well enough build though.

I have a pair of Silverline Mechanics gloves and I like them much more. I went for the part fingerless types but I took the fingertips off the other fingers too.

Ultimately, fer me at least, it comes down to fit. I have wide hands and short fingers so gloves are hard to find that fit well

I have a few pairs of Mechanix; fast fit, regular and the workwear (tan leather type). I like the brand because of the fit. I've not found any other gloves to be quite right on my weird hands.
