So first, let me apologize for being away for so long. Got real busy. Lots happened, some good, some not so much. I have been trying to get caught up, but could someone please update me on the state of the forum and let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I am a big fan of Jon B, and I would be grateful for any info (PM if need be). Now for the good stuff... Unless you spend every day in the wild, building shelter, making traps this is probably not an EDC (maybe if your name is Dexter Morgan). I don't get out nearly as often as I would like, but I just got this groovey new survival (bushcraft) knife, so I thought I'd share. It has a razor-sharp CONVEX grind, ~1/4" thick blade. No edge grind, it just continues from the knife profile to the edge. Trilaminate stainless - VG 10 on the inside and 420J2 for the "sammich" breads. You can actually see the demarcation line where the laminae meet (~1/8" from the cutting edge) even in my crummy scans. Swedish company, Japanese made blade. Hybrid Vigor? Perhaps. In destruction tests, this thing kicks the snot out of everything else.
