    Hi,

I'm interested in buying a Verispack - probably a Colossus or Mongo - but would like confirmation from people in the know that there aren't any new additions / changes to the line expected too soon (I'm just like that).

How (and if consistently, when) do Maxpedition usually launch new models?

Also, am I right in thinking that the Colossus is padded while the Mongo is not? I intend for my Versipack to do double-duty as a SLR camera bag.

    Thanks.

Over the last couple of years they seem to introduce new models at SHOT show in Vegas, which just happened a month or so ago.

    Thanks for your answers.

Since posting this question I came across the Maxpedition Press Room which has product release dates since 2007.

With the exception of the limited edition 'Bumble Bee' Falcon II, the mongo is indeed their latest product (listed "December 2009").

The Colossus, on the other hand, was launched in "Summer 2007" - though I don't know whether there have been any updates since.

Can anyone confirm that the Mongo has no padding?

Mongo has no padding and it is at very least twice the size of colossus.

Make no mistake here - colossus is a small capacity bag, in pure form it is smaller than jumbo really.

Does anyone have pictures of the Colossus in use?

I have to say I was surprised to find that the Colossus was released in 2007 because there aren't many pictures / videos out there.
