I must have walked past this little wallet a dozen times at my local Maxped dealer's store and I never gave it a second look until recently. I was looking for a better way to carry all the little things I want to have on hand organized and easy to deal with. Enter the urban wallet. Now to call it wallet is not really right. A wallet, in my mind, is to carry money and cards and ID. This thing is like a mini pocket pouch. Perfect for what I was looking for. Not sure this warrants a "review" status but here are some pics. Uploaded with ImageShack.us This is just a great way to carry all the little stuff without it being all over the place in your pockets.
I was thinking about doing something similar. Think this has just convinced me to go for it. Thanks for sharing.
You are all very welcome. I am still carrying it daily although some of the contents have changed. It still is the best way to carry all the little things.
Wow, I had no idea you fit so much stuff in an Urban, definitely worth another look for me. Thanks for the mini review.
You know I have another one set up that I keep in the front pocket of my 10x4 bottle holder. It is primaraly a FAK. I'll try to get some pics up in a bit.
Some quick pics. It's not a dedicated FAK but it is mostly band-aid's and such. Hope it helps. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
I ended up picking up one of these. I haven't got my configuration down just yet, but I like it. It is kind of bulky in pocket or maybe my pants are too tight. Do you pocket carry your kit?
I do pocket cary it. I keep it in my front left pocket and while it is indeed bulky it doesn't get in the way. I can't tell you how handy it is. I think I will take some more pics and do a little update on what I keep in there.
I have one in khaki and it is a great wallet I have carried mine for several months and was my first maxpedition product.
Not difficult. It is sewn on. Thanks to Mr. Hog, I bought one of these myself. I tried it as a regular wallet, but the velcro tab makes it a little bulky for me. I may convert it to a FAK for occasional EDC or to ride in my Man Sack.
You're welcome. ) I've never tried it but I don't think I would like it as a regular wallet. Maybe just because I like my Spec-ops wallet jr. so much that I am not really in the market for a "wallet" I like to think of it as my little pocket sized batman utility belt. It seems that everythime someone needs something I have it handy. I have even added some more things to it. I really need to do an update.
I think I must get me one of those. The Urban really seems more useful then it first appears to be. Thanks for a good review.
