I am getting ready to buy a Maxpedition bag, and I think I want the Maxpedition Pygmy Falcon II.

What is a good, reputable, reasonably priced source for this bag?

(Quick replies requested... I'm having trouble resisting the urge to just buy it from the first place I see it, since I've been waiting so long! :lolhammer: )

P.S. I know that someone from Maxpedition posts on this board, and I would welcome his/her input. Opinions on whether it would be wise to pay full retail and order directly from the manufacturer are solicited.

Thanks for the steers. I have ordered from EDCdepot and liked it, so I just checked there, but they have the Falcon II, and I did not see the Pygmy Falcon II... I am assuming that they are different packs (size-wise, I guess?) largely because the $100.99 for the "Falcon II" is markedly above the $80 or so I've seen on some sites for a "Pygmy Falcon II"... Am I right?

edit: Dang! I tried EDCdepot, TADgear, and ebags, and none stocks the Pygmy Falcon II! :brickwall:
    Any other suggestions?

It's just a backpack, not that difficult to find.

I was looking for someone to possibly tell me where they found a good price, reliable service, etc.
    ...not attitude.

I have purchased before from ambientweather.com. They have good prices when they are in stock. They seem to have a foliage green, olive green, and khaki PF2 in stock (not black) for $61.79.

I ordered from Lighthound -- I'm hoping that the bag arrives on Saturday. It'd be great to have it for the weekend! :luck: to me!

(Also have some SureFire batteries on the way with it.)

    EDIT:

Sweet! It did arrive today! (Priority Mail by Lighthound -- ordered on Wednesday at 01:00, shipped out Wednesday afternoon, arrived Saturday: not bad)

I like the bag plenty. I'm in the process of transferring my EDC stuff from my old Walmart special to the new Pygmy Falcon II. I was a bit surprised because it is not as voluminous as the Walmart bag, but I don't think that's a problem. In fact, I think I'll like the fact that this bag is a bit more compact than I used to carry.

Now I'm thinking about adding on one or two of those additional doohickies... Any suggestions about what's out there for that purpose? Thanks.

I sometimes put my M1 waistpack and a sheath for a flashlight on the shoulder straps so I can get to them while still wearing the bag. Other wise the PGII works fine for me

Sorry to bump an old thread, but anyone know another vendor that has prices similar to ambientweather for the PF II?? They have the cheapest prices by far but currently don't have them in stock.
