I'm in. A standard BIC ballpoint pen is about 5 7/8" so making a pocket organizer any smaller than this mini product, in height at least, seems ill advised.
I just ordered one along with the 4x6 notebook cover. I'm probably going to get the micro pocket organizer as well at some point.
A Zebra compact or Fisher bullet is considerably shorter. I look at the inside pic and see space wasted relative to the Mini flashlight and the pocket tool for that matter. I think it is a good size product but IMO the original was to big to begin with. A half size model that is long enough for a MT or a single cell light would be great for front pocket carry.
For front pocket carry a much better option would be to make a pocket sized version of their hook and loop mini organizer : http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/Hook-and-Loop-Mini-Organizer-60p1515.htm
Thanks for the idea on the Bullet pen JSmitty, I only got the organizer and haven't gotten a chance to fill it tight now I only have a 4 sevens Quark mini and Pockettoolx Pirahna in it. I just posted the photos so you guys could see the general size of it.
I appreciate the photos! They showed exactly what I needed to know about the product. In the end I will pass on this one. It is the same overall dimensions as the Spec Ops Cargo Pocket Organizer I already have. Also, I like that the Spec Ops only has webbing on one side. This helps me reduce bulk because I like to fill pockets up!
It would be nice to see a good comparison of this and the Spec Ops Cargo Pocket Organizer if they are similar in size.
OK, I admit you do have a good point there. A pocket organizer class that only takes smaller items than standard pens may make sense for some. For me it would work out well as a secondary pouch.
For me it is just to hold the few extras that I don't want to pocket carry and can stay in the center console of the car unless I need it on me. I'll probably put my spare Leatherman Wave in it and maybe a Sharpie as well seeing as I always seem to lose Sharpies, plus the Pockettool Pirahna and spare flashlight and Widgy bar.
Funny to see this thread, I went through the edc pocket organizer one then decided it was too big and noticed the smaller one on their web site and ordered it Tuesday. Ordered Tuesday and got it already.

If anyone cares, I just got a quick response back from Maxpedition today from my email asking when the Micro and the Fatty pocket organizers (they seemed to confirm that is the current name for the larger sized one) will be released. The answer was "Sorry, unknown at this time."
Seriously! I find it annoying that a company designs and develops a product but has no idea when they are going to put it on the market for sale. I'm a big Maxpedition fan but that is f'n ridiculous! :tickedoff::tickedoff::tickedoff:
