Yes, the entire "Show us pics of your EDC!" Section is in the general category, so all the threads within it were moved
I didn't eat more than one... well, pieces that equate to one whole MnM. I'm sure they were... edible. But they were 'bad' in my book.... The MRE is probably 5-6 years old. rough estimate. I think the 'inspection date' is 3 years after they're made... so... yeah about 5 years.
T.H.Cone - i know you don't get tags. I hate mechanix gloves. They're terrible. I buy cheap 10$ in the wally world hardware section. I use them every day and they last a long longer than a month.
I like Mechanix gloves, but I don't consider any glove to be anything but disposable. Well, any new gloves, I have a pair of insulated Dickies that I found twenty years ago and they're still awesome.
I have some Mechanix with a padded palm that just won't quit. Bought them years ago. Back when I worked at a factory job, they supplied the regular Mechanix and many pair were lucky to last a week without the finger stitches coming apart. The work wasn't super abrasive or strenuous either.
Maybe doesn't apply in Tapatalk, but in the browser, if you are in a thread, way up at the top of the screen under the brown menu bar it shows where you are: Home > Forums >General Category > General EDC Discussion > Show us your pics of your EDC That way if you have a quick link to a thread via the Watched Threads but can't find it from the Home page, you can see where the quick link leads you.
I've never used/tried the padded gloves. Way too hot for any type of padding or insulation. But I've experienced this cheap pattern with almost all gloves that are "thin", now I buy whatever is cheapest at Ross or wally world. They're more for a Sun protection and bumps and scrape prevention, really.
If it helps any I've found that the harbor freight mechanics glove to be decent for the price (usually have a coupon). They seem to last me as long as the craftsman, and Mechanix gloves. I mostly use them as a barrier for cold air tools. Try to keep author away as much as possible.
There is a HFT nearby I'll have to hit them up. I appreciate the $ saving tid bit. I burn through them pretty often considering I do work my hands all day. What's author? Typo?
