Does leaving the knife open or half open Release some of the tension on the spring Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m not sure what the question is. A spring’s job is to provide some force in this context. Are you asking how to permanently relieve the tension? If so, that will compromise the lock. Believe it or not, Spyderco knows a thing or two about making knives and they are meant to function in a specific way. Did you finally buy the knife or really intend to?
Please don’t hijack this threat, but open a new one: “Should I trade in my new MANIX 2?”. Sent from my Glade Air Freshener
I just got a manix2 in January. The spring is plenty tough to pull . But if you loosen the pivot bolt a little that helps . I am Reeves fan , but that manix2 is a fine carry . Jake
What seems fairly stupid is you asking in separate threads about this knife but then not even letting us know which one you got? I have even asked and went unanswered. Glad we could help you
Oh yeah I manix 2 frn with black handle and bd1 steel Also I have a lanyard on it it’s Zane gear from amazon
And what would the purpose be leaving it half open? If you now have one in hand just flip it while watching tv for and evening it will break in nicely.
