Hi guys. I'm shopping for a man purse. So far I like the Waterfield Muzetto. Are there similar ones (not necessarily leather) you'd recommend? The size I'm looking for is around the personal muzetto's.

The only caveats are, quality that lasts and urban-at-home. Max-ped-esque need not apply.

    Thanks.

Chrome, Timbuk2, and Manhattan Portage have bags in that size. I can vouch for the durability of the first two, they're probably overbuilt for this size, both designs from bike messenger bag companies. Less emphasis on organization though.

I'd check out Cole Haan products. They have a few "newspaper bags" on sale through their website. I have one that I really like -- very high quality leather and well-sewn. If you are looking for something larger, I would check out Reload Bags. This is a small group of bike messengers that custom sew messenger style bags and backpacks. Their artwork is killer and you would be supporting a great group of folks

If you're looking for leather -- Vaja; if you like that profile, booq and incase make vertical bags/sleeves.

My wife got me the "man satchel" from the movie "The Hangover" when she was in Canada recently.

This is the one I have. It is about the size you're looking for.

It looks like they came out with a slightly larger one too.

Here's a shot from the bag in the movie.

I like the Timbuk2 bags, some of those leather ones just seem a little too purse like for me. I carry a Camelbak Hawg NV (teak,grey/green color-is wat they call it, its a sand color to me) its backpack style, but is exandable and can easily convert from my man bag to cycle bag with water bladder and also has expandable storage- enough for a bike helmet.
