Been carrying a folding blade for a very long time and have been really looking at carrying a fixed blade as my main and a folding back up... What should I be looking for in a fixed? Been mainly looking at ESEE, Boker, etc.. Any other brands I should be considering?

And what kind of knife do you want? Blade style/shape, blade length, handle style, carry ability, what purpose? EDC, self defense, hunting, bushcraft, utility...?
Also tell us what folder(s) have you been carrying before, to make some comparisons to the new possible ones.

It would just take the place of what I carry now, so opening/breaking down boxes, cutting paracord, etc... Personal defense is always a factor too.

I like my Enzo Necker, I might carry it instead of my folders once I make a sheath for it

EDC for sure, Blade length around 3", My knife rotation now is Boker Automat Kalashnikov, 5.11 x13, A very old Boker automatic with wood inlays. Would rather the knife have a kydex sheath with the ability to carry horizontal... As far as blade shape; I do like drop points and spear points but have been looking at the wharncliffe, besh style... only thing I don't like is serrated edges.

For a high end option, there's always Busse. Enzo is a good choice, I have one of the neckers in Birch handle. Bark River makes some nice neckers in 3V also. Joe Wilson makes some nice blades out of CPM-154 that are set of for IWB carry. Have you thought about how you want to carry it? Neck carry, IWB, pocket sheath?

It would either be IWB or on the in the horizontal position (small of back or cross draw).

If you're going to carry a piece of carbon steel IWB, be ready to keep it lubed and clean it when needed. It's going to take a bit more maintenance. I'd personally stick with stainless for a small EDC blade. TOPS will be an example of a very high carbon steel blade that will take a lot of maintenance wherever the bare steel is exposed. Same with ESEE. Just a fact of the matter with 1095, and regardless of your climate your own sweat could cause corrosion.

Just something to think about. Carbon is definitely not a wrong decision, just something that will take more maintenance. Busse's INFI is a carbon steel that demonstrates a lot of corrosion resistance so one of their knives may be a good idea, although pricier options. For something more cost effective, the earlier mentioned Enzo Necker is a nice blade. 12C27 is a very underrated steel. It performs very similarly to some high carbon steels but in a stainless.

Depending on size and tastes I'd recommend:

    Spartan Blades Phrike or Enyo
Bark River STS 3 or STS 4

I love fixies! Regarding carbon steel, I never had an issue with my candiru.
I forced a patina and do oil it lightly after I've cleaned it but it doesn't make the rotation very often and though I keep expecting to find rust when I get it out again it's been absolutely fine. It's pocket carried only though so YMMV...

I try to always carry a fixed blade...

I see very few people carrying it, but I carry a modified buck 102 off work. I also have an IZULA that I like to carry occasionally.

I carry the DFK backpacker at work and sometimes off work on a neck rig/neck knife style.

But with 200$, you've got more to spend than I can recommend. Good luck with your search.

Get something cheap.... you might not like the style. Most stuff you see is just hype. Is it legal?

CRKT Minimalists are just for you. You have wharncliffe, drop point and tanto. None of them have serrations. Also CRKT Spew is not bad. A bit bigger than the Minimalists, only wharncliffe blade available on it.
