Magnetic Kershaw Leek

    Apparently this thing is magnetic. Anybody else's do this? This is a frame lock btw [​IMG]

    There are many ways to purposely or accidentally magnetize a piece of steel. Check it out on the internet.

    Look at it this way. Now in an emergency, if you have a length of paracord or fishing line, you don't need a pocket grappling hook to retrieve something -- as long as a magnet can grab it of course :rofl:

    One of my Spyderco Paramilitary 2's is slightly magnetic. Not to the extent of yours, but magnetic nevertheless.

    I like to hang my T6 and T8 screw drivers which are used on most of my knives on a neodymium magnet to make it magnetic.

    It only lasts some days but it's great to have a magnetic screw driver with those tiny little bast..., ahm, fellas ;)

    Maybe your Leek had some contact with a strong magnet for some time making it magnetic, too.
