Took some 3/4 aluminum stock and made this in my lathe. It was definitely inspired by the one in the store here. http://edcforums.com/content.php/173-EXOTAC-nanoStriker but I already had some firesteel (from before I knew about the nanoStriker). So I whipped this up.

1/2-13 threads and 3/8 x 4 rod of fire steel.

I need another fire steel like a hole in the head, but I'd buy one of those. :)

It looks perfect! Is the firesteel replaceable? If you decide to sell those (internationally), I am definitely interested.

I'd like to add, if you could make one (or many!) a little shorter, to fit in an altoids tin or on a keychain I'll pick up two or three easily (price is right, maybe four or five)

I like the exotac, but cant shell out the coin on multiples of them
