I have a Lum Tech made for Field & Stream magazine. was like $60.00. Runs like a champ. Nice looking too.
Some of the upcoming models are 40MM. (Lol), Making assumptions isn't always a good thing. Look at the upcoming M Cobalt & 300M for example. I haven't viewed everything in their line-up, but Lum-Tec has been listening.
Good point! Although, it was a fairly well educated guess. I've checked out their watches several times before, looked at literally EVERY model hoping for it, but never seen <42mm stuff on there. It's awesome that their new stuff is, though!
I see they have some good prices on a limited supply of factory demos... or they did, a few days ago.
My combat B16 was just sent back for the second time in three years. Last time they did a complete movement replacement. The work order said "to much friction in movement". Exactly a year later, today, sent it back again with the same issues. I am completely frustrated with it. I suppose I should be appreciative they are repairing it but it is still aggravating. I had to buy a g-shock last time to finish my overseas work, this thing stopped completely. I just don't have any faith in it now. If they repair it again I am going to sell it if the warranty will transfer (that pesky conscience gets in the way). It's unsettling to time a "safe separation" only to look at your timepiece and it has STOPPED...
Just got my combat b16 back. Running ok, but no faith in it. I will be listing it on eBay shortly. Keeping my bull45. No problems with it.
I've been peeping the B17 recently how do you like it? Any calender issues, does it lose or gain much in the way of time. I'm coming from an atomic so clearly it will be a touch less accurate.
I have only had the b17 for about a day so far it has been accurate but it's kinda early to see if it is losing all the much time. I changed the date around 7pm and when I looked to see if it had the right date this morning leaving the house around 6am it had already changed over. My m33 just changes when ever it wants to I can never seem to get it right so it has the right day when I want it, always ment to email them about that.
Here are some pictures with two different bands, it's still keeping good time. It's too the min never synced it to the second of anything yet. Thanks Coupe you're really making it hard to resist the Lum-Tec lure. I know I should wait but I may be placing an order shortly.
Got my Combat B17 yesterday and I have to say it is a nice piece of kit. It feels sturdy and looks good. I expect I'll be very nice to it and get many years of service.
