Not yet. I hope it can be fixed soon but we still have some problems.
Ouch. Not good. I'd hazard a guess that this points to either very heavy usage, or a memory leak somewhere. Either way, I don't envy you the task ahead in finding and plugging the problem!
Thanks for the continued service and support
It is not heavy usage. We have had way way way busier moments than we have now. We deliberately have a bunch of overkill in this server. This all started when we upgraded to 4.0.6
Has the Taptalk functionality been disabled on the forum as a result of the outages? Just asking because it's not working for me now this morning.
I plan on putting it back. We are trying to test a bunch of stuff before it crashes again.
The host now things someone is deliberately messing with the server. I got this in an email from them. I am going to ask for some clarification. If they are I don't think it is any kind of DNS attack.
Hope you get this fixed.
Thanks for all you do
We had another crash a moment ago. Someone is actually going to make a house call and look at something with me on Thursday.
These problems are getting me really far behind on some other things I have been trying to get done. Those of you waiting on message from me, I will get back with you soon and sorry for the delays.
Thanks for everything you do for us, Jon.
We had a series of crashes tonight and have pulled another 24 hour day. I am going to have to get this solved pretty quick and other things are just going to have to go on the backburner until this is fixed.
Hopefully all is fixed now. *fingers crossed*
I am tired, burned out, and need a nap really bad.
All of you waiting on responses to emails, I promise I will get start hammering away at them now that I think the forum will probably quit crashing.
Okay I just got hit with the data base error screen, so Hopefully we're not sliding back into the server issues again...:blah: :luck:
We did take a hard hit but recovered fairly quickly. When I get caught up I am going to see what happened.
We took a hard hit at 4:06 am which brought the server down.
I was working on the forum starting at midnight but not on the server. The hosting company got the sever back up a while ago. A disk check was done after the crash before coming back up. From the time I submitted the information that the server was down I have been refreshing the screen, 4 hours of refreshing, ick.
I will be digging through logs to see what brought us down.
I can log onto the forum just fine from Internet Explorer, but as soon as I navigate to the forum in Firefox, the browser crashes. I have tried several times and get the same results every time.
Why did the forum have to go down right as a spider crawls across my face and keep me up for hours on end? Thanks for getting it back up though =)
Win XP SP3, running Firefox 3.6.10 with NoScript 18.104.22.168. plugin. No problems with browser stability here.
